Absolutely Fabulous
It's just as well that this show begins with the letter "A," because it should be first on my list. Absolutely funny and in absolutely bad taste on occasion. Two absolutely self-centered, absolutely shallow, absolutely hilarious main characters. I once got through the writing of an absolutely tedious paper by taking periodic breaks to watch the AbFab tapes that my youngest brother so helpfully sent me. I got an A- on the paper (absolutely acceptable), and kept my sanity and sense of humor as well.

The Good Soldier.
This is an adaptation of the Ford Maddox Ford novel produced by Granada for television in 1981, and broadcast on Masterpiece Theatre.  It starred Jeremy Brett in the titular role.
